Houston restaurateur suspected of killing wife and their 2 kids before turning gun on himself, authorities say
A well-known Houston restaurateur fatally shot his wife and their two young children before turning the gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide, authorities said Tuesday.
Officers had been sent to 2113 Kingston St. in Houston's River Oaks neighborhood on Monday evening to check on the welfare of a family because they "had not been heard from or seen since the previous night," according to a police department statement.

Trump asks judges to pause E. Jean Carroll ruling so he can appeal case to Supreme Court
President Donald Trump on Wednesday asked a federal appeals court in New York to pause its ruling rejecting his challenge to the writer E. Jean Carroll's defamation lawsuit so he can pursue an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
A jury awarded Carroll $83 million in damages in 2024 after she successfully argued that Trump defamed her with comments he made disputing her claim that he sexually abused her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990s.
