PA high school student charged with running ‘catfishing’ and ‘sextortion’ scheme to exploit minors
An 18-year-old Pennsylvania high school student was arrested Friday after authorities accused him of running a massive “catfishing” and “sextortion” scheme that involved more than 20 underage victims.
Zachariah Abraham Meyers, a student at Peters Township High School in McMurray, faces over 300 felony counts of trafficking in minors, sexual extortion, intercept communications, corruption of minors, child sexual abuse material, unlawful contact with a minor, sexual exploitation of children, and criminal use of communication facility.
Federal judge in Michigan charged with drunken driving after car strikes signs
A federal judge in Michigan suspected of drunken driving uttered a vulgarity at a state trooper and couldn’t explain damage to his car or why his airbags had deployed, according to video of the arrest.
U.S. District Judge Thomas Ludington was arrested Oct. 3 after a trooper said he had repeatedly failed to properly blow into a blood-alcohol device, body-camera video obtained by The Detroit News shows.
